has been established to offer scholarship money to local students who have been accepted to and have elected to attend Ohio State.
The James Milford Scholarship goes annually to the top student as selected by our scholarship committee.
OSU OC/IE participates in the Alumni Scholars Program (ASP) of the university's Office of Development, to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding incoming freshmen from our local area. The university Office of Student Financial Aid selects recipients for these awards based on the recommendation of our local Scholarship Commitee.
Criteria for consideration include:
- Satisfaction of university admissions requirements
- Ranking in the top 10-25% of graduating high school class
- Recommendations from high school administrators and teachers based on scholastic ability and character
- Record of participation in school and community extracurricular activities, and
- An impressive personal interview with our local Scholarship Committee.
