In memory of Joe-Ann Schmahl: July 1932 - April 2007
Joe-Ann was a life long avid supporter of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and she has been actively involved with most aspects of the OSU Orange County/ Inland Empire Alumni Chapter from 1961 until her recent heath set-back in March 2007.
Joe-Ann worked with many other local Buckeyes toward establishing The OSU Club of Orange County/ Inland Empire (CA) Scholarship Fund, established in 1980; but she always believed that we should not only support this fund but also to do more. Her desires were finally realized in 2006 with establishment of The Robert H. and Joe-Ann Schmahl Engineering Scholarship Fund.
She was active as a volunteer with the Fullerton Founder’s Guild and as a fund raiser for the Child Abuse programs at The Child Guidance Center ,as well as performing some clerical duties with the Meals-on-Wheels program. She also served a term on the Fullerton Farmer’s Market Board.
Vegas!!!
Traveling to Vegas was one of Joe-Ann's passions.
